SIVA has added new advanced technology to its fleet, with the installation of the Japanese AIDA servo press of 200 tons power completed in April.
A servo press is distinguished by the direct coupling of the motor to the mechanics, which allows programming the movement of the slide. It is possible to control the curve and speed in terms of approach, work, climb and stop at the lower dead point, with the possibility of defining the best curve for each mould and type of production.
These are advantages of a servo press:
• Versatility and flexibility
• High productivity
• Greater precision and quality assurance
• Possibility of designing simpler moulds with equal ability to create bends and deep drawing
• Longer tool life and reduced maintenance costs
• Improved balance between productivity and energy consumption
The servo press is also fully integrated with SIVA’s management system to meet all Industry 4.0 requirements.
