SIVA applies in the Stamping Department a further method of Lean Production. After a careful observation of the operations of changeover and setup times, we have created a procedure to streamline the setup process.
The preliminary activities involved in the SMED project led to a large number of proposals to improve the equipment, which will be applied over the next few months, to speed up the press tooling activities further.
The new optimal tooling procedure has been shared and tested in practice by all the Stamping Department staff.
